BETTINA SAYS: “The tiny automatic let out a final breath of smoke, just like Johnny let out his final breath only moments before. His body sagged like a sack of half full dirt over the chair. That was the last time he'd ever raise a hand to me. It was time for this black widow to strike out on her own and weave a web somewhere far away from this dusty one horse town. The pavement under my feet felt like a path paved with gold leading right into the sunset. But killing a man made this dame more than a little beat. I had to put these gams up and rest a while. Splitsville was the place for me.”
