Woohoo! I finally got online, who knew it would be so hard to find internet access in Los Angeles? Thanks to everyone who has commented so far on my member review set, Parlour Pin-up! Here's a sneaky peak of it:

It's my last night in LA, who/what should I do?

I did two super fun shows this weekend at home in Victoria! The first was a birthday party for my friend Heather, and my roommate Lizzy Bathortease and I go-go danced, I can't wait to see pictures of us in our little matching outfits! Then last night I did burlesque at the same club for the third Rockabilly Riot, our new monthly rockabilly get together, with hotrod movies, jive lessons, live bands and dancing! The turnout was pretty good, considering how many other events were going on that night.

Today I'm going to shoot a local musician for my magazine, An Occasional Man. Hopefully the weather improves, it's supposed to be a sunny poolside shoot, but it's threatening to rain. Maybe I can make it work in a sexy rainy way, haha.

Alright, time to get my day started, I have a bunch of sewing I've been putting off that I should really attend to. And I need to get my yoga on, all that dancing made me stiff!

Oh brother, what a difference one week can make. I've been bedridden since last Sunday, and now it looks like just when I can get out of bed I have Strep Throat....I haven't been all kinds of sick at once like this since university. Boo! Ok, point taken, don't work as hard, learn to delegate, blah blah blah. I can't wait until I get to quit my day job and spend a year touring with go-go Amy!!

I have started working on the website for my new male pin-up magazine, An Occasional Man! Click on the previous link to see what I've got so far, more stuff as I get time.

In other news, I'm in Vancouver this weekend, I went to see Chris Isaak perform last night, totally incredible show, I recommend it highly, and not just because he's such a hottie. Man, I am so exhausted, it's been a busy week. I saw Judas Priest on Wednesday, which was effin MINDBLOWING! Testament were surprisingly good too, not really my style but they put on a good show.

I am also dropping off copies of Issue 2 of An Occasional Man at Funhauser today, so if you are Vancouver kid in need of male pin-up, head on over there to get your fix.

I've finally put up the photos from my working vacation in Paris at the beginning of the month on Bettina.ca! Paris was totally amazing, I performed at some crazy parties that had people like Jude Law and Kanye West at them, plus tons of French celebrities I've never heard of (oops!), and met lots of super nice people and got to know lots of others that I had met briefly before. All in all a fantastic trip, AND I got to do a little sight-seeing and bought real french lingerie! (pictures of those to follow soon)

I finally met Raia and she is even more adorable and beautiful than I imagined, and she made me a delicious vegan dinner! This is a rare thing to find in Paris, in case you didn't know.

I'm back from Paris and I had a totally incredible time! I'm busy editing the hundreds of photos I took, and those are just the candids, not to mention thefabulous photoshoots I did of sexy parisienne men for my magazine, and ladies I shot at my pin-up workshop there, and the photoshoots that I was in....crazy!

Thanks to everyone who supported my trip through my postcard deal, and to all the new friends I made in Paris, including the adorable Raia!

PS Here's a little taste of my fabulous time:

Less than one week till I go to Paris!! I'm so excited, I can barely remember all the things I need to get done before I go. Issue 2 of my magazine (An Occasional Man) is finally done, just waiting to get it back from Metropol, the place in town that prints it. I have no idea how I'm going to fit all the stuff I need to take into my suitcase, there isn't going to be room for clothes at all!
I'm teaching a pin-up workshop while I'm there, so I need to bring all my hair and makeup styling supplies, and camera equipment. I got myself a Rosetta Stone cd-rom to help me learn a little more français before I go, but I think I'm running out of time! This having a dayjob thing really bites, except that it helps finance all my travels and oh yeah, pays the rent too!
If you happen to know anyone who lives in Paris, or will be there for the next couple weeks, let them know about my shows and workshop! Here's the rundown:

The super sexy covermodel for my magazine is stranded in Hermosa Beach right now at at the quality inn on aviation blvd, and he can't afford to stay there another night! His name is Nick Random, and he is by far the coolest, nicest and handsomest man I've ever met, so if any of you are in the area and can help him out with a couch, or just want to hang out (he's bored as hell!) give him a call at 707-569-6131.

He just needs a place to crash for the weekend, he is staying with our friends next week but he's in town early and they are out of town until Monday, so whatever you can do to help would be awesome. I totally vouch for this guy, and would consider it a huge personal favour if you could help him out!! I'll owe you one! He's an excellent chef, and also really good at cuddling with puppies, so what are you waiting for! Call him! Oh, this is what he looks like:
