Start with books, DVD's, trinkets, etc ... Anything small-ish, move onto non-essential kitchen stuff. Next, pictures / paintings, wall decor.
I've moved many times, so I'm pretty good at getting my stuff packed and ready.

as you pack - consider a room sort; what goes into the box should be its home in the new place. Clearly mark the room it goes, that is if you know the layout before packing.
What is inside is less important and confusing - unless the packer - will do most of the carrying. Make it easier for someone whose only job is to help carry. Try to make the boxes somewhat the same weight, limit the monster boxes and mystery boxes that get set aside to decide later.

All things you have considered already I am sure - it is a matter of emphasis.
