it reminds me of jr high in redlands, california. an inland school i went to for one year while my mother went to nurse school. I had a friend named Anthony. we were platonic cuddlers. he would wear a sweatshirt a few sizes too large and i was always desperately under dressed. we made a great pair. When i hear this i think about lunch time at this junior high. The school was kind enough to have a DJ dude come play tracks for us during our one hour break, Anthony and i would lay in grass eat hostess donuts and play platonic footsy. we straight up called it foot sex... but we never had any unplanned toes, so i am sure it was all safe fun. i'm not sure if it was the sunshine or the chemical high from those donuts but i can remember this moment all from a sound.
so years ago i did the blind date show to help pay rent while i was unemployed. a friend of mine named stephen found it on you tube FINALLY! here it is SG! Bee on a date with Mighty Mike. oh, btw they call me by my slave name Brandi... but thats cool. what evs. enjoy!
ps. i just have to share my ben folds cheer me ups:
today was awesome.
this song holds a large part of my heART
Fearless - pink floyd
You say the hill's too steep to climb
Climb it.
You say you'd like to see me try
Climbing.
You pick the place and I'll choose the time
And I'll climb
That hill in my own way.
Just wait a while for the right day.
And as I rise above the tree lines and the clouds
I look down, hearing the sound of the things you've said today.
Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd
Smiling.
Merciless the magistrate turns 'round
Frowning.
And who's the fool who wears the crown?
And go down,
in your own way
And every day is the right day
And as you rise above the fear-lines in his brow
You look down, hearing the sound of the faces in the crowd.
