Yay! So my car's fixed, I just have to find a way to get it to me... Hopefully they'll bring it. So I'm out 135$, but iff any of you live in the area, you know how f@*king cold it's been, I've been doing oh, about 3 hours bussing it daily while my car's been in the shop... Anyways I'm super stoked, hopefully I'll be able to keep my appointment with a photog that I made (I cancelled it in case I didn't have my car) because another thing had to happen haha. The girl who works at the shop on saturdays has to replace a gilr at HER bronzage because she apparently broke her ankle (ouch!) So now I'm pretty much working saturdays as well... I'll figure it out!

So I'm still waiting on my car... Sucks.
In other news, people will be happy with their christmas gifts this year. Mostly homemade, but I bought a couple knick knacks at the dollar store. Funny stuff, you know, the kind of thing that makes you say wtf and that you probably won't keep, but it's worth it cause they smile. In other news, I've been pretty stressed out at work. There's a lot of stuff to do, and I'm a little bummed cause my apprenticeship isn't really moving along. I'm doing good, the problem lies in the amount of time that my mentor has to put up for me, along with the lack of direction. I know that it's something I should push myself to do, a lot of people would love to be in the position I'm in, especially since my mentor is quite popular around these (and other) parts. But I feel like if I just try things without someone telling me what to do, then what's the point of the apprenticeship, right? Like wouldn't that equal up to me learning on my own? Anyways, I basically know all the simple stuff and all, how to shade, set up, do lines... and I'm quite good at lines. Shading I havn't done much of. I guess basically all I have to do is tattoo a few more pigskins, but man, I can't wait to get the OK for people. I can't wait to ink all my friends!
Have a good one!

So towing the car's gonna be 50$... Not bad, I love that I have friends and family who do all sorts of things (we barter much).
Moving on! So I've started my christmas gifts. It may seem a little early, but I make all my gifts (most often cards and drawings or paintings) and well it takes a long time to make em, so I wanna make sure I have enough time. I don't know what I'll do for my mom, the painting I gave her last year is still sitting in the bag I gave it to her in! Oh well, I think she's just getting a card then...
That's all for now!

So. To everyone with an old car. Check your oil often.
My car broke down on me not 2 minutes aways from my work (and I was about to get onto the highway, now THAT would've sucked). Oh lucky me, I forgot my cellphone at home yesterday too! So my mum is the kinda gal that goes to bed at 7:30 pm, and it was almost 9. ***Note to self: get a phonebook and add all your car handy friends in it.*** So she agrees to come get me, but she's so, so grumpy about it. She shows up, and, with a stroke of genius, decided to wear high heels to help push my car into a driveway. Needless to say I did the pushing and she did the steering wheel turning. We topped it with oil, checked all that we knew to check, but it still wasn't starting. My theory is that it flooded, and I had to take an hour and a half bus to get to work and havn't checked to see if it turned on today. I will once my boss has 5 minutes to drive me to it. To be fair people, I've had this car for a month, and I've had my liscence for a month. I don't care much for cars, other than finding them pretty, so for sure I don't know all, the little things and when to check what. My oil change is due in 200 000 km still, but I'm told since it's an old car I should check it waaaayyy more often. Good, now I know. But it's been looking like my aunt may have sold me a lemon...
So, lesson learned. Here's what I pulled from it. 1, even if it's a family member selling it, always get an inspection before buying it. 2, check your oil often. 3, expect the worst, 4 carry phone numbers around, and don't forget your cell, and finally, 5, if someone's having car trouble, even if you're not handy and don't really know how to help, be a human being and offer your help, maybe all they need is a phone or a push.
Im an optimist to the point of annoying some of my black cloud riding friends, but I'm also a nihilist in a weird way. I believe things will get better, but not for humans...
On another note, I woke up with Waffles AND Yellow sleeping on my face. They're so damn adorable!!!

So, I got me a new tattoo! I was sitting at the shop with Dan and he just got a new Sailor Jerry book... And I fell upon this hillarious little drawing... needless to say Dan the Old School Man was pushing me to get it. Well I did and I love it! I can't wait to get the touch ups on it, I was bad and i kinda (accidentally) picked at it. To be fair though, I was sleeping... It looks crooked on the picture, but it's cause I'm holding up my hair. Good job Dan! lol I can't wait to get my feet done by him. I really gotta finish my ribs, but it's begenning to be a problem... it's been like 2 years since it's been inked! I'm gonna have to start it all over again... YEOUCH!

Okay so It's been a while. I've been mad busy, but I'm starting to get my life back in order. And I have a new found appreciation for being a laptop ninja.
So, I'm officially trying out to be an SG. Everything's in order so far, all that's missing is my first set. Which I will be meeting with one of the staff photographers in a couple weeks.
But I think I will have one of my friends shoot a set as well as she has graduated in professional photography last year, and I though it might be good for her to have in her folio.
So I think that's that for now, I'll update soon. Later!
