Anyway I just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive (though pretty much sleep deprived all the time), and not only that, I've been to a couple of conferences including The Last H.O.P.E in NYC last week, which kicked just so much ass!
Also, I'm spending nearly any spare minute at the Metalab for now, and I'm truly hooked by studying Ruby.
And hell yeah, I love it.
Take care!
It's awesome. For real. Go open relationships that don't need a name or specification.
Personally, not to call them 'open relationships' (for that may imply some sort of labeling), I decided on calling it 'Maja'. By the way.
Anyway.
So, in other news: I'm back to Berlin again. After only 5 weeks or so. And I think it's not gonna take long until I finally move here.
Gosh, I totally love this city!
its been ages since my last blog i know, so this one will most probably get just as long and exhausting as my last one... ill be trying to cut it short, though
first of all, we had the most wonderful autumn here in austria!
we went for some walks in the wachau, a wonderful landscape alongside the river danube, and ive taken a handfull of pics, but unfortunately i havent got them on my computer yet - so yall will have to look forward to my next post!
back in vienna, it was a time of vernissages, etc., most of which i loved a book presentation of a fellow friend of mine, chrys, called "Suppe in LA" (soup in L.A.), some quite weird stuff i can totally recommend to anyone speaking german.

he also had two private views the following week, showing his work as a photography (which is awesome i think) in vienna.
ex-bf and band member of ok king, flooh, was exhibited there, too - go and have a look at their work!
and klaus pichler had a huge presentation of a book (architecture in the Verbund, biggest austrian electricity provider) he made the photography for. his work is simply stunning i think.
next, we shot a new set of our lovely hopeful Ruday, which you can look up and leave a comment on right HERE!
now thats only some silly shot by me, sitting in the way and having a ball while Matthiasdiary and Ruday had to work. anyway, the set got rejected again... ;(

the vienna tattoo convention was quite lovely, too - nothing one has to fear he has missed much if he didnt come, though. people took lots of photographs of bernies latest tat on my arm... which was a bit annoying, but still im absolutely proud of how gorgeous he made it look
besides, i made a match between armin, a good friend of mine, and a girl ive never seen before, hehe...
and still theres sooo much that happend the last weeks:
roland, my most lovely significant other, left our agency and went over to Perndl & Co, who make really cool stuff for exhibitions, etc.!
so to celebrate his leave-taking, our whole agency made a trip to steiermark (which is located in the middle of austria, and often called the "toscana of austria" - the landscape is really lovely there)!

unfortunately, i got infected with borrelliose when enjoying some walk in the countryside - so im totally on antibiotics atm
oh, and finally the Die Theater has opened again, now called Brut, and the Atzgerei did all their artwork. its simply great. so go and have a look (or maybe two) at their outstanding work!!!
i will also warmly recommend the Brut theatres program to you;
so far ive been at their opening party, featuring planningtorock, a one-girl-band that still really impressed me, though i already bought her lp months ago, and Tina C., a character created by british actor, artist and cynic Christopher Green, which was so much fun.
and finally, the last 10 days:
SeanBonner arrived in vienna, just in time for the Roböxotica 07, and will stay here as the artist in residence of the month december at the monochrom bureau at MuQua Wien - and besides the fact that hes an utterly interesting person and writes for about tenthousandbillion blogs or even initiates them and does other stuff only real nerds are able to explain (like metroblogging.com, where he atm posts to the viennese group; or his private one at seanbonner.com; also, i find his twitter msgs most... ahem... lovely), he is just a doll! (if one may call a guy "a doll", that is...) - so if ever you may have the opportunity, get to know sean. i MEAN it!
plus, im just as excited to get to know Scott Blake, the bar code artist, whom he invited around and who will arrive at vienna tomorrow morning!
so, during the roboexotica, we went to a show at the Brut, it was robots playing a somewhat modernised version of shakespeares hamlet (and it was great):

though for this time, i made a mental note not to write about useless uninteresting and absolutely uninspiring (as the opposite of all the rest i use to write
so, we just had that exhibition at the agency, all arty farty stuff we made up on our own, some of us well, some not knowing we definitely werent born to become artists in any way.
but anyway, the event worked out great and - most gladly - our clients didnt interpret the works for what some of them were (at least those i was involved in): subversive reactions to their own hilarious ignorance.
the most absurd thing ive ever done in my life - as long as i can recall:

but i was in the most lovely and beautiful company:

oh right, and besides a whole bunch of shootings within the last days feat. my work as a MUA, i had the pleasure to lend my legs to some tights manufacturers layout design shooting:

on the other hand, im working on a project about self-perception, the female in the age of gesamtkunstwerk-ish re-producibility.
sounds weird, especially in english - and i guess it will drive me crazy in the end (if i am not, already) -, but since i made it up, i am the only one i could possibly blame
hah, now for my most beloved theme: MUSIC!!
there was a mono show at the szene wien some days ago, supported by austrian band the scarabeus dream. unfortunately, right before we got in, the keys got locked inside my car, and so i was more than nervous anyone could break or steal it... but for someones sake, everything just went fine, and roland came with a spare key to save the day!
anyway. the show was simply AWESOME! if you havent heard about japanese most precious music export mono, please go and have a look (or an ear or whatever)!!
mono:

the scarabeus dream:

thats why i wasnt able to listen to Bre Pettis (hes blogging for the make magazine) talk about the "brain machine" at metalab, which mustve been great as well...
im looking forward to meeting bre in berlin again, where ill be going wednesday evening/arriving thu early morning.
BERLIN AGAIN! YAY!!
well stay there only for the tattoo con so im back at work on next monday again, but im glad i got some days off even though its not a lot.
last but not least: i want to recommend Amon Tobins latest album "bloodstone" to you. i know, its been a while since it got out, but i forgot to tell the world how great that album is ever since.
seriously.
go buy it.
for the rest, i hold that all EANs shall be shattered.
again i havent found the time to write a blog for over 14 days now, so i have plenty to say - therefore, im gonna try to spoiler all the stuff only the really interested among you will actually really want to know of.
first, these last two weeks were gorgeous. the time of the big rain has finally passed, and we have a wonderful fall coming up, with the brightest colors ranging from green to orange to brown one could ever think of. therefore, i just had to go outside a bit and take some dozen pics...
on the other hand, we had some great shows coming up and im still looking forward to a couple of most interesting gigs within the next weeks - yay, concert saison has started again!
so i think you already got the idea what this blog will be about again: some mental house-cleaning for myself and a lot of music i am most proud of being able to recommend to you
music: the famous sleepytime gorilla museum (also to be seen here) - some of you might heard of them or already downloaded stuff from the bunglefever ftp (if youre interested & still need the link, please let me know) - feat. genius nils frykdahl and carla kihlstedt will be playing at the alter schlachthof in wels, austria, on nov. 11th, 2007 at the socalled music unlimited festival (which itself is curated by carla). so if any of you have the chance, go and have a look at their shows, sgm will be touring throughout europe in fall/winter this year.
here, as a teaser, is a video i took at their last show in austria, at the fluc (vienna), in april 2007:
plus, a recently posted video from the latest album of book of knots (also there), featuring two SGM-members, and who are wonderfully unique as well:
another two albums i can warmly recommend to you are:
the sunn O))) + boris project "altar"

which is the best album ive ever heard from both those bands, and perhaps the best of all newcoming stuff from within the last half a dozen of moths;
and, of course, ulvers (or here) "shadows of the sun" ltd. vinyl edition (with this alternate front cover, compared to the cd edition), whose pre-order has already started some days ago and which should be out in stores since oct. 2nd already (talking of the cd):

though i loved their blood inside album the best - and most likely always will -, this album without much doubt is a masterpiece of experimental music (one can barely figure out their black metal roots nowadays anymore), again.
so, much for your own sake, please go and have a look at them at your local music dealer of trust.
the other day, i went to a show of fresnel (or t be looked up on their myspace), monno (+ here, too) and knut (+ myspace) at the arena wien - who all in all played a great gig!
heres some pics and viddies i took at the show:
fresnel:
and the viddy i took:
knut:
video:
unfortunately, i didnt take any photos and/or videos of monno, who did a great job aswell - sorry guys!!
but if i may provide you with an older live-viddy of fresnel (with a much better audio recording underneath):
besides, fresnel just recently released their new 7 inch split with vancouver (CH), which i have to recommend you warmly:
i know, i still havent posted the viddies made at ok kings and kimeras concert, but some day in nearest future, i surely will ![]()
for now, i can only leave you with kimeras first video clip, Push Reset:
talking about the tiny rest of my private life, as you may have heard before, im going to be married, yay! ive already tried to set up a list of the people to be invited, as to find a superb location for the civil marriage thing and the after-party...
but still, im not quite sure about how i gonna dress - perhaps this would give you an idea of what im looking for?
and im still waiting for my new set to be shot (now that my ink finally healed up completely)... come on, dearest of all my photographers, lets have our date fixed!! ![]()
AND, talking bout shootings: im totally in love with Meshells new set, emerald eyes!
its even the first one i ever felt the need to do some fan art about... though, i havent come very far for now...
but on the other hand, im extraordinarily sad that Rrrrudies set magic flip got rejected
- and i really cant say why this had to be... PLEASE all of you people out there, take a look at it and leave her some love, that girl is such a sweetheart and absolutely deserves to go pink!!!
![]()
plus, last but not least: im looking forward on attending a blocked course on sound design, held by Angelo D'Angelico and Jan Dietrich (GER), whom to work with i guess will be really exciting!! ![]()
For the rest, i hold that all EANs shall be shattered.
i got my new tattoo done on friday, so its still a bit swollen, but it healing really fast. bernie luther is just an admirable artist!

and as you may have noticed, i got my new camera, a panasonic lx2. i had to test its light sensitivity at 800 asa right away, so i took a shot from our agency's terrace:

![]()
i really love that view over vienna - it outweighs a lot of my work...
there's some other "serious" shots i took that day at work in my pics gallery - so go take a look!
the other day, we spent the night at a really shitty club in vienna i can't very much recommend called viper room - chummy bands kimera, ok king and namastè played a gig there:

kimera

ok king

![]()
it's quite cool to have that guy as an ex-bf ![]()

![]()
and my lovely best friend's-ex-bf on the drums.
i made some viddies too, but since i haven't yet found the time to resize and to put them on youtube, i'm afraid you'll have to wait for my next blog to take a glimpse...
then this weekend, kimera had their first video clip presentation (which was also a double birthday party)... we stayed quite a while outside though, at a socalled kinderwartehaeuschen (a tramway waiting booth for kids only... and no, thats not usual in vienna), drinking wine, getting a pizza delivered by my most lovely significant other, and having a ball ![]()

![]()

![]()
also made a small viddy at the haeuschen when we were already getting slightly wasted, to be watched right here - sorry guys, german only ![]()
talking of public transport curiousities, i just noticed they made new stickers instead for the ond ones that were showing a pregnant woman, a woman holding her baby, an old man and a blind man...

![]()
simply ridiculous.
well - guess that's it for today!
