I just read some stupid article about how my nail polish is toxic and causing infertility because it's not vegan and along side it was a ton of vegan clothing ads.
The words "vegan clothing" make me want to kill myself. It's so over-used. Don't get me started on the organic bullshit, but using words that describe something to ingest that will go into your body doesn't suit describing clothing. The most widely used fiber is cotton, which is a plant and is therefore vegan if you want to call it that. That means all denim is vegan. Your jeans are not special. When people use it to describe fake leather belts, accessories and boots, I want to be like.....How many child labor sweatshop workers were used to make it? How many underpaid immigrants worked overtime and how many toxic chemicals were used to make it black or whatever??
Insinuating that you aren't hurting animals, when no doubt, humans were harmed or mistreated in the process is pretentious and thoughtless and it drives me bananas. Apparel factories (and yes all apparel factories even ones where fabric was made with organic plants that was then taken to a toxic mill to be woven and then brought to the factory) produce exorbitant amounts of chemical run-off from the dye, fumes from the heat seal machines, screen printers, drying irons and they use more plastic than you could ever imagine.
It's just the way it is. I know I work in fashion but I don't claim to be saving the planet, or that there is anything ethical about the manufacturing process. There isn't much. so I hate those little fluffy bunny words that make people feel elite for doing something that's better because they are not hurting animals with disregard for the humans involved.

I hate stupid racist assholes. I think there should be a stupid tax and maybe then, we would see an upswing in the economy.
Less hating. More asana.

Here is how my YOGA CHALLENGE is going....I've done 18 days out of 27. at this point by the time it's done I'm shooting for 21 out of 30. That isn't bad.
August 4th - 9:00am I took a 2/3 at Exhale in Venice. Jo is always awesome.
August 5th - 9:00am 2/3. Some dude named Asus was subbing....it was interesting. He kept yapping on about not pushing yourself and having ease and not doing hard postures today. I thought that was interesting since I, A: came from the yoga school of pushing yourself and B: just decided to push myself for 30 days. He totally caught us off guard too. He made us all introduce ourselves and then played that song We're Cruising Together or whatever and everyone started singing. Whatever floats your boat, man.
August 6th - 7:00am core energy flow in santa monica
August 7th - 7:00am 2/3 in venice. I actually only stayed for the first hour because I have to be at work at 9.

I'm like totally sick of yoga. After 11 years I'm yoga-ed out. So as a part of self discovery/ self torture, I'm going to make myself go everyday for the next 30 days. I'm not worried about my self-discipline. It's just really hard to find time when I work 50 hours a week. Also, I can't do much yoga in the evenings because it keeps me up (backbends squeeze your adrenal glands) and then I don't sleep and therefore don't have the energy to go the following day and it creates a vicious cycle. So up I am and going in the morning. Hungover or not....So I bring you my 30 Day Yoga Challenge. So I'm going to edit this journal everyday. It's totally riveting, I know.

I'm a really lucky girl. I have an awesome life and I know a few people who are going through some very serious things right now (cancer, brain surgery, dying etc) and you just never know how much time you have. and I've been thinking a lot about how lucky I am. It's really wondrous.
This all brings me to a larger philosophical question...WHY IS GEORGE MICHAEL NOT MY GAY BOYFRIEND YET? Jesus fuck.
and the person who designed that stage can be my gay boyfriend too because that shit is intense.
Ok so my favorite places in the world...like if you can do absolutely anything ever....
1. be on the beach in Bali for a very extended period of time
2. walk around Soho in the Summer during the day with big sunglasses on and shop and get drunk
and part of afore mentioned totally greatness of my life is that one I have done before and will do again and the second one I do all the time. and it never get's old and is always fun fun fun. I'm really good at rallying all my friends together and having a kick-ass time. Woo!
I got drunk and rode a bull. I just feel like that needed to be said. Luna and Jaidee accompanied me in this extravaganza. Luna is also very good at said Soho drinking/ shopping adventures. He's so fun. I also spent the 4th with Anabel. We watched the fireworks on a rooftop in Brooklyn at a massive party. See?

and I know you need your obligitory Aspen bikini pic of the week....behold my new gay boyfriend and a glorious view of downtown LA!

Omg! Long time no update. Soooo busy and I love the Summer.
I'm hella sunburnt.

Probably because I do this:

Can you find the Aspen in this photo? It's like where's waldo but with bikinis.
I think Baba Wawa needs a bf since her friend moved out!
PS- I'm into Natalie Portman's bf:

and oh hey wtf!
