I've really been trying to spend all the time I can at school and studying (to be a hair stylist), but formulations for hair colour just is not sinking in. I'm trying so hard to fully understand it, and it's making me feel quite silly that I STILL dont. sighhh. My teacher told me that I should apply to the Toronto ABA show....so I'm going to, it's worth a shot, right? I'm really nervous, I don't really think I have a hope in hell of winning, but isn't it pretty to think so?

Blamesday is gone away on tour again, this time with Devil Driver and Cancer Bats. I miss him so much. It's really sweet, on their day off he drove all day just so we could see each other for 6 hours, then had to leave again for Toronto then Michigan. The distance is tough sometimes, but I really do love that boy more and more everyday, and I am a very lucky girl to have such a wonderful ginger boy.

I really want to get into reading a good novel. The snow in London has been absolutely insane lately, and I'm running low on comics. Does anyone have any suggestions? What is your favourite book as of late? My literature thirsty brain needs to know!!! AND, I am in dire need of some new tunes to work out to, I've been obsessed with Dead Mau5 for the past few weeks, work out music suggestions are also more than welcome!!!

Well folks, I'm sleepy, time to go cuddle that cute 115 pound doberman that seems to live in my bedroom. I will have another BETTER update for you sweeties soon, I promise!

Archie xoxo

Well if its books you want... Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy is amazing. If you want something more mindblowing though, Chuck Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters... or for cute/pretty prose, Jonathan Safran Foer's Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (OR Incredibly Loud and Extremely Close, that damn title always messes me up).
Good luck with the show!

Good luck with school. You should definitely do the Toronto ABA show. Even if you don't win it'll be a great experience. smile

For awesome intense reads, I reccommend an author named Natsuo Kirino. Out is a good crime story/feminist plot. Grotesque is easily the most challenging to read.

Comics? DC put out a Complete Steve Ditko Creeper trade recently. Its dated but its a fun read.

Good luck with the styling. I'm sure you'll get it all figured out eventually.

Distance is hard. My wife and I had to spend 12 months apart during 2004 - her back in Chicago, and me 10000 miles away in Australia. That was a tough year, yo. It does make for a great foundation in communication though smile

Books: I'm really digging Jack Kerouac again. The more I read, as I get older, the better I understand a lot of what he said, and did. Not comics, but good literature none the less smile

I'm reading Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantell and its brilliant and also big, so it would get you through many a snowy hour smile

My mom deals with long distance a lot too since my stepdad works in Egypt a lot of the year but I find it makes them appreciate each other more and they re so soppy! I hope its the same for you!

I keep thinking that your guys band is playing here and every time it's just that I've got muddled between them and Bonded by Blood!! Ha I'm an idiot.

As for the novel, I recommend Island by Aldous Huxley <3
