Oberlin- A small liberal arts school in Northeast Ohio populated by hipsters, dorks and musicians from the East Coast bearing little similarity to the local population. Idealistic, and often naive, they are easily placated by an ample supply of PBR and a decent garage rock band.

As in: That dude with the horned rimmed glasses and messenger bag who splits his time working at a record store and french cafe while working on his compilation of something or other totally went to Oberlin.

I know exactly what you are talking about...used to hang out in Oberlin while in high school...then going back as an "adult" I would sometimes run into x boyfriends who were still hanging out there...still some nice shopping there though...and there is the always being "cool" at the Feve... wink

When you turn 21 (or now) you should start hitting the South Amherst biker bars, Wiley's, Timber's and Far West. They're way cooler than the Feve. Award yourself by learning from the warm community. It's really weird going out in the world and meeting so many people that went to Oberlin. I mean look at all the alumni have achieved. Is dionysus disco still functioning?
