Last year a friend of mine didn't get a job she'd gone for, so decided to take the plunge and go freelance as she'd wanted to for ages but had previously been too worried about it... Maybe the economy going down the toilet is a good time for a change in jobs?... What is it you want to do?

those photos are amazing. I like them enough that i'd probably buy a print if i could afford to!
keep just taking pictures of anything you think is beautiful. I had a conversation with a guy I know who's a professional photographer about this subject and it reminded me that there's merritt in taking photos totally on the fly as well as carefully pre-produced ideas. What matters is whether or not you like the photo that you end up with, not how you got it - imagine how many cool images you might never see if you decided to limit yourself to one approach, because your rational mind told you a certain approach is more valid or correct?
That being said, i think it's also an artist's duty to continue to push themselves to learn new techniques and approaches and grow in that manner, so developing some new projects is also a good idea. The key is not to limit yourself to the idea that there's a certain way things should be done.
your stuff is really awesome though. I know, because i like it. But i also know, cuz Cherry likes it, and that's a very good sign.
