IN NEED OF BAKING HELP!!!!!

OK! I have a recipe that calls for a 9" round cake form, all I have is a 10" round cake form.

Help?! How to I up the iingredients? frown

That's more of a math question than a baking question. Your pan is one inch bigger, so you would have to figure what fraction or percentage bigger it is. My guess is that is 1/9th bigger so you would have to increase all ingredients by 1/9th which isn't much at all. I would say that you could probably use the same recipe and just bake it for less time or at a lower temperature, since in will be slightly thinner.

put a little bit more than the recepie calls for.like it calls for 1 cup of flour put about 1 1/8 cups.

Actually you should be alright. The 10" pan will do, it just won't rise as much if it's a sponge cake.

You could try to add more if you wanted to, but I think that might be more work then you need. Going to agree with the others and say just go with the 10" and don't change the recipe.

i’m not good with math, I would just do it the same way, as some one else said it just wouldn’t be as tall.
