i got woken up by 200 school kids dressed in red singin red nose songs goin down the street...some of the teachers had megaphones and were singin too......

ha, pleased to note that I'm not the only one the morning hours creep up on. Last night was a late one for me too, mainly by being stitched up by insane supervisor. I went to see him during the day. He's the sort of guy who seems to make it a point of principle to be as rude and patronising as humanly possible. True to form he was rude and patronising. However I'm starting to wonder if it's just an inability to relate to human beings, and I can't hold that against him. In fact he sometimes does nice things too. For example he basically offered to re-write my PhD proposal. Well, in my book of references that's pretty nice...

I work til 11 doing some reading, looking forward to a beer with the guys and then I get an email from him - where's your proposal? If I were the suspicious sort, I'd reckon that he's intentionally trying to wind me the fuck up. So then I had to forgo said beer in favour of re-writing said proposal.

And I don't like forgoing beer, it's profoundly against my principles.
