Tonight started off quite well because I found a can of cider down the back of my bookcase but the rest was ultimately crap.

Cider... That brings me some memories, sadly not all of them are happy but some of them are.

So is there anything at all I can do to try to uncrapify your evening?? kiss

My condolences.

I found out that hummingbirds are "bold and fierce competitors. They don't let their guard down for a moment while defending their territories from other hummingbirds."

It seems they're not quite the dainty little things you would be lead to believe.

I used to drink cider as a teenager. It was one of the cheapest ways to get drunk, but after too many vomit inducing sessions, my brain has put cider in the "poison, don't drink it' category. I have tried sips of other peoples cider a number of times and I never like the taste, except, that is for some vintage Merrydown Cider, which a tried a few days ago. I may get a bottle one day...

Right now, I should put all alcohol in the don't drink it category. My head hurts a wee bit from last nights drinking, but it looks good outside. The sunshine is making me feel better and I would get in my car and find somewhere attractive to photograph, but the battery is dead. That may be a good thing as my winter slumber is not yet over.

Yesterday, I wanted to visit Worcester Cathedral and that's when I discovered the problem with the car. I took some photos there a long time ago using a vintage range finder camera. That camera was lost to damp in my flat, which was very annoying, because it t had a certain charm. It's a good thing to know what your going to photograph, but it was a little hit and miss with the range finder as the view finder did not see through the lens, like on a SLR.

That's a scan of a contact print. The negative is about that size in real life; 6 x 9 cm.

Sounds like you may have found the shadow of Narnia: Dionysis' Narnia. Don't be surprised if you find the Bacchae charging about behind there as well.

Other things to find down the back of cabinets:
- books, just like Rev. Hickers said
- Kinder Surprises. Two surprises then but still just one toy
- Batttle of the hummingbird vs the mantis. Yep, hummingbirds fair better down the back of bookcases.
- The Giant Squid vs the Sperm Whale. The scientists look in the wrong place.
- Odd socks
- The 'that way people'. A race of tessellated beings who keep reality moving. A friend of mine met them during a particularly hair raising salvia divinorum trip. I believe they live behind a cabinet somewhere.
- Ghosts in Asian horror films. Particularly the crawly one from the Tale of Two Sisters.

So its a mixed bag. You did well. But think on before you go for an unplanned rummage, you may get more than you bargained for.

biggrin
