last night, montreal was chaos.
there was 5 police cars on fire, people were throwing empty vodka bottles at the cops, and the cops were in there riot squad uniforms.
soo me and my girlfriend decided to go for a walk. and we almost got hit with police batons. it was soo crazy. we heard the screaming and horns from our balcony for hours afterwards. it seriously went on intill after 130 am.
all because we won the hockey game.
what happens when we win the stanly cup (or even worse...lose)

Yeah, all that shite makes me less proud to be a Montr�alais.
I'm supposed to move back in Montreal (which is forever home for me) next year, but seeing what happenned yesterday I might reconsider.
Maybe Chioutimi or Rivi�re du Loup, I'm pretty sure there wasn't any riots there...

You know, it probably wouldn't have been a problem if the Habs hadn't SUCKED for so long. For the good of the people, they really should try and make making the playoffs a habit.

Ive never lived in a city that loves their hockey this much.
I cannot believe this happens when they WIN a game haha
Last night when they scored their first goal a cop drove by my house and turned the siren on for a second, they are guilty of celebrating too.
Im never going downtown while a game is being played for the rest of the season haha

Don't get me started on greek football matches.

I live practically next door to the stadium and there was a protest of fans several days ago (about 5000 people). The presense of policemen in riot gear, just doesn't do it for me.
