Some of you asked where I was 10 years ago....on september the 11th of 2001.
I have your answer:
On September the 11th 2001 I was at Unity High School in Tolono Illinois. I was working in the Library then, and I recall having to be in at 7:30. I remember just after the first plane hit that the Media specialist Mrs. Meyers Ran in and said "Amy all televisions CNN, the whole building ...put it on." and the two of us scrambled to see what was happening. This attack happened 6 days before my 18th birthday, and as the week ends and I turn 28 I still feel that my birthday will always lay in a shadow of ash, and lost life. I remember, I will never forget, and I will forgive with as much conviction as I can muster, because that's what makes me American. That is what separates me from them. Not the revenge...not the vengeance....but the forgiveness.
