So, I've made an appointment to check out a broadcasting school here in Las Vegas. I've always been really interested in being on the radio, and on the few times I've actually done radio spots, I've not only had a great time, but been told I'm relatively funny. hahahaha Good times. I'm excited. I figure you cant be a bartender forever, and being in the radio industry runs in the family, and is quite a lucrative career. I come from an entire family of musicians, and even though I can pretty much play anything, and sing, I'd rather be on the other side of the boards. I was trained on Protools when I was 21, and honestly havent sat in front of a sound board since. I wonder if I'd be as good as I once was.
Im looking for jobs again, as I got laid off. It's been a horrible wretched week.. My grandfather, Herman passed away. Yesterday was his military sendoff.... My father had horrible surgery, and had to have most of his nasal cavity removed, as he was breathing through what they described as "the width of a pencil lead" for 20 some odd years. GRanted, his coke problem couldn't have aided much in his recovery of scar tissue, but alas. He's alive... even though they said his chances may still be slim.
What else is new...
Im thinking of going back to retail... Having a day job sounds fun, and i'm so bored when patricks at work, why not spend that time making supplemental income. If I get back into school all will be well, and I'll have a fabulously full plate, and lots of money and a new learned skill. All of which sound fantastically wonderful.
We went to see the Dropkick Murphy's last friday, and had a fucking hell of a drunken time, as always. I ended up getting in someone's face however, but thats not uncommon for me at a show in which i've been drinking JAck Daniels. Patrick wasn't mad at me... thank god. He even got somewhat involved.
