Meh. I feel fat. I know that's a stupid thing to post about and that my eyes are making it look worse than it is, but still. I actually feel compelled to go do some sit-ups or something. One of the Major downsides to living in this tiny city is the lack of a 24 Hour Fitness branch. That and no sushi restaurants or enormous bookstores.

Technically I should be putting some clothes on and following up on the tip that somebody gave me concerning $1 pairs of knitting needles at the local version of Pic N' Save. I love my glorified bamboo skewers to death and am really quite proud of how well they turned out, but they don't work well with the cotton yarn that i'm using. They stick and whatnot. Makes my hands hurt very quickly. I should also finish turning that hunk of plywood into a desk so that I can use my workroom again. And repair the pile of slightly damaged clothes that have been sitting next to my bed waiting for me to do exactly that for 3 months.

Fuck. I'm such a slacker.

Anyway, remember that sign I put up at work? I got a picture of it. Not a terribly good one, mind you, but you hopefully get the idea.

This needs a bit of explanation. See, I work with 2 Jeremies. This wouldn't be nearly so funny Or confusing if not for 3 key things:
-they have the same job description
-they have similar build, personality, etc.
-they always come as a set. they work together, hang out together, volunteer for the local drug rehab program together, and so on.

Therefore, they are never just Jeremy or Jerremey, they are always The Jeremies. I keep feeling like I should do a documentary or something, but for the moment narrating all of their actions is entertaining enough for me and Heather both.

Trivia: I own no furniture. I have many many many shelves, a couple of metal racks, and a pile of blankets on the floor for sleeping. The closest thing I have to chairs is a pair of collapsible camping stools in front of my computer.

[edited to say]: I know I'm going to get taken out and beaten with blunt objects for this, but I'm listening to gabber at the moment. Inexplicably, I'm enjoying it, even though it gives me the urge to stand up and bounce like a pogo stick on PCP.

Dammit, there need to be more than 5 favourite SG slots. I have at least a dozen favourites and it sucks to have to prioritize them. At the moment I'm trying to keep them circulating every few days, but one day I know I'll forget and then.............. frown

Trivia: at the moment I am reading Regina's Song (again), Pollen, and Fault Lines.

SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh hey I can edit this! Right, so this is my day so far:

stand up slowly
fall over anyway
start ripping out the seams of a sweater so that i can frog it. i am too poor to buy new yarn.
check email
find free membership
shriek deafeningly
apologize to sarreyn for breaking his ears
ddautta is so cute i could die
pb&j
it would be nice if i didn't have to put on shoes for work
bouncy greetings for coworkers
matt is going to have a stroke one of these days. it will probably be triggered by me squealing "hi!" at him
yay $10 tip!
vacuum because my boss is too lazy to do it herself. sherri, you suck.
watery tape of gackt. my discman hates me.
new disc of babylon 5!
YOU MUST HAVE BEEN A DANCE COMMANDER!!!
stir fry makes me happy

and now we're all up to date. exciting times, no? I'm listening to the ddautta song again. I had it stuck in my head the entire time I was at work and had to settle for humming it because I can't speak whatever language it's in. I'm pretty sure it's korean, but then sometimes it sounds like japanese. or French! Hell, I'm more than satisfied by learning romanian via o-zone, sad as that may sound.

I never realize how geeky I sound until I can go back and read what exactly it is I say.

[edited to put my habit into effect retroactively]

This is what I look like when my makeup has mostly come off. I like my labret stud more than the ring.
