Hey everyone!

So today's blog will be a first for me; no photos; only text.

I will begin by admitting to you all that for the past 2-3 years I slowly began rejecting social networking. I do have facebook and twitter but I just don't have the motivation to use them as often as I did. And blogging is even worse. I have so much trouble organizing my thoughts and putting them into words is 100 times worse!
I do love sharing photos, it's much more simple I find. A picture conveys all those emotions or thoughts that are juggling in my head and are just struggling to get out. I also have to add that even if you don't always get a reply, I do read all the messages that you send me and I really appreciate them! (although there are some exceptions ¬¬)

Christmas is coming and it's certainly not my favourite time of the year. The only thing I enjoy about it is snow and we still haven't had any. I'm lying, we did have a little but it all melted the following day. December without snow? Is that even possible for Montreal? Maybe. I think it's time for me to move up north!

What have I been up to lately? School mostly and work. Work is a dull weekly routine, so I won't even bother talking about it. On the other hand, school is rather fun. Especially, film classes; I've developed a taste for silent cinema. And I have this creative urge in me; I've been writing all my ideas on papers here and there. All I'm lacking is the proper equipment to begin creating. I'm starting to save some money to buy a decent video camera, perhaps I'll get one this summer. The government is planning to raise the school tuition fee, I know that Canada is pretty decent compared to the States on that matter but I don't believe that a purely capitalistic model is a good comparison for any government. If education was free or affordable it would certainly fix some of the major problems we have in society. But lets be realistic, I don't see that happened anytime soon. That doesn't mean striking is useless. We might not be in the 60s anymore but there are still some big issues in the world that rest unsolved.

This summer I am planning to go to Europe with my best friend. Unlike plans I've previously made with other people, I know she won't disappoint me by backing off on the last minute and vice versa. We're buying our plane tickets and planning our trip during Christmas vacation. We'll only be staying for 2 weeks because that's the only vacation I get from work ¬¬ So we've decided that we'll only visit 2 countries. She wants to go to Netherlands and I'm hesitating between Italy or Spain. It'll be perfect timing, I will have finished my Art History class and will be able to refine my skills when we visit the national museums. Whenever I'm down or feel like I want to quit everything, I think about what my summer vacation will be like and it keeps me motivated.

In other news, Steven Spielberg will be filming a whole film in Montreal in the summer of 2013. The film is based on Daniel H. Wilson's sci-fi novel Robopocalypse. And that means I might get a thrilling summer job in 2 years!

Last but not least, I want to thank SG for making my newest set Yesterday's Sweetheart go live and Dwam for making it all happen smile
It might not always show but I put a lot of energy in trying to create a different theme for each one of my sets and it's always a blast to know that it was worth all the effort.

I'll leave you with this amazing short clip from a Hungarian born Canadian, Istvan Kantor, founder of Neoism. Among many things, he also did some amazing performances and visual artworks in the 1970s using his own blood.

Take care and thanks for reading this!
