Before I get into this update, go say hi to my friend Micheal (OutOfTime). He's responsible for teaching me to spin fire. He's new, make him feel at home! Here's an awesome picture of him spinning steel wool:

Yesterday was my first day of class as a UMass Boston student! The title of the class was Moral and Social Problems (philosophy). The best part about this class is that the professor put all the required readings onto a disk along with the syllabus, so I don't have to buy a book! Woohoo!

After the class I went over to the Wit's End Cafe, a great little student run cafe, to write in my journal. While there a rather strange girl from my class spotted me and came over to chat. She was reading a magazine and when I saw this ad I asked if I could rip it out and keep it. It seemed strange to her, but I explained that I loved nude photography, especially ones involving tattooed women. She gave it to me and asked if I had ever posed. I told her yes. Soon she was asking if I was a Suicidegirl and I of course I told her yes. Now here is the strange part... Some people when they find out or recognize me, are cool and "no big deal" about it. Others don't know what it is, and then there are those that freak out and treat me like I'm some sort of minor celebrity. And that is exactly what this girl did. It was awkward for me, kinda flattering, but mostly awkward. Thankfully a friend came and got her and I was able to continue writing in my journal.

Work has slowed odwn a bit, which is good. Working for ACORN is hilarious! There is a woman who comes to our office to do community service. She has a 3 year old little boy that she brings with her. This little boy never speaks, but is constantly seeking negative attention, and mostly from me for whatever reason. He'll do everything he can to get my attention, even pushing and punching me. So yesterday, I discovered that all I had to do was sit him in my lap and let him hug me, and he would behave. So thats what I did. For most of my work day yesterday I typed one handed while I held a little black boy in my lap. I even did a conference call with him there. Whenever I had to get up to do something, I had to carry him with me. It was touching, but it broke my heart as well. Obviously this little boy was starved for affection.
Ok, so thats it for a ridiculously long update abut nothing really. Stay tuned for more ramblings soon to come.
Infinite X's and O's to all of you! kiss

When I see you I'm going to push you and kick your shins til you let me sit on your lap and hug me too.

Either that or I might just pick you up and kiss you til you can't stand.

It's adorable when young 'uns flirt.

I saw a two-year-old hit on a fabric-cutting lady once. He was so excited when she talked to him that he clenched his fists, shook all over, and kept saying "Vvvvvrrroooom!" And somehow, she was charmed.

To date, I haven't been able to pull off that particular pick-up. Here's to you, little dude in the shopping cart.

Hope school goes well for you. Thats a sweet pic guess I'd never heard of such a thing till now. It's really sweet what you did for that little boy. He will probably remember you for years to come, no joke, that was probably the nicest gesture he has known for a long time.

The last paragraph you wrote is incredibly touching... that you cared, and that he responded... truly heart warming.

The fire scares me... but in a good way!

That fire spinning looks kinda fun. I might do that along w/ Capeoria(which I always wanted to do but never had the balls).

Anyway, I started this new fundraising job today. I pretty going around the city, getting people to sponsor a child-one child-for a mere $18 a month. I was a bummed out today cuz I didn't get anybody to sign up, but tomorrow's a new day. Nevertheless, It sucks that I didn't get a kid a sponsor. But I'll do better. Anyway, I was thinking about your story about the kid and it really brought my spirits up. I get some sign ups tomorrow if it fucking kills me.
