Wow. Every time I see Lord of the Rings I have renewed awe over what a wonderful job they did. Fantastic... I do wish they had explained about Gollum... it would have helped illustrate the power of The Ring.

So there are lots of different ways one can give someone "the eye". There's the totally sleazy way a la realultimatepower.net as in "giving her the eye and popping like 16 boners" and there's the evil eye... but I think beyond the evil eye you can give someone The Eye of Sauron. I think it's a bit like giving the black triangle but less punk rock and more doom metal. And way more threatening.

I think The Two Towers is going to be a lot of riding around and shouting "ho there!" and trying to figure out who is who and wacky hijinks ensuing. *giggles*

The Eye of Sauron. What a great description. It is very threatening indeed. Lord of the Rings is such a great film, no wonder it is already #4 on imdb.com top 250. It's accuracy is pretty much as close as you can get for a blockbuster. Truly a spectacular film.

You know, I still haven't seen Lord of the Rings. Haven't even read the books, despite trying. Some geek I am.

What's a "black triangle"? Some punk I am.

You got caught up at the Tom Bombadil part, huh? Yeah, I think a lot of us did. I pushed through, though.

The black triangle is a symbol of like, woman power or similar, I believe. I just kinda made up the giving of it.

Hey Al, you beautiful thing you, check this out:

After reading this very amusing site, i vote that the next movie should be filled with scenes of Aragorn muttering "STILL not king".

Anyway, the real point of posting on your journal was to say you made me a desktop! i am now the single happiest girl in the universe. A thousand thanks to you.

I just stopped by the desktop section, and found one of me looking like I have the craziest, snakiest hair, heh. It looks great, Al, you're pretty damn graphically talented. =) (Plus sexy, what a combination!)
