ATLANTA! I want to shoot another set ASAP! Please lend me a location? PLEASE? haha

I have been in a creative rut since my last piece, but I have been keeping my nose up by going to art openings and trying to make new friends smile

However, I hate running into art snobs...being pretentious is waste of time if you ask me. As far as I'm concerned, mainstream art viewers don't give a fuck about the nit picky representation...as long as it's pleasing to the eye and it makes them feel something...thats what counts..right?

So hopefully, I can find a location and the great SG gods accepts the sets so I can buy art supplies! *fingers crossed*...ahem...step one: location hahaha biggrin

Art's Job is to invoke emotion. Punk died in 1977/78. After that its just a marketing gimmick not unlike goth.

I had an art show in Soho a few years back and got see up close and personal just what the pretentious NYC art crowd was all about. Not...my...scene. So I feel you on the art snobs. It almost seems like it was all about name rather than actual art with that crowd...

However, there are good scenes and artists out there that aren't pretentious, jaded, and blind. You just gotta' know where to find em'.

Oh yeah, and this:

08. Tony Danza and the Tapdance Extravaganza

Officially qualifies you as awesome.

No inspirational books here...unless you count reading about the tawdry lives of rock stars (I've read several different books about my favorite bands- The Dirt, Heroin Diaries, Lennon, No one Here Gets Out Alive, etc.). That always gets me going...
