I just wanted to update you guys really quick on my absence. So after almost a week of calling our service provider and 3 different technicians, the internet is finally working today. I've missed you guys!

--A friend and I went to see Choke in theaters on Thursday. It was better than I expected it to be. I only wish I'd read the book already so that I could compare the two, like I did with Fight Club.
--I've enjoyed watching the leaves on the trees turn colors this past week. It really is so beautiful.
--I'm excited to buy warm clothing/scarves soon. A warm, cuddly stranger wouldn't be so bad either.
--I need company and a costume for a Halloween event in Maryland. Though, I'm not sure what I'm doing just yet.
--I want to play in the leaves and buy a pumpy-kin so I can squish all the nastiness between my fingers.
--If you ordered prints, I sent my order off tonight! I'll post again once they're sent to me/shipped to you!

--I'm not sure what to write but I have the a horrible case of bed head, so I'm going to shower and come back later. xoxo

I was driving to work yesterday when I realized, "how lucky am I." I was born with all 10 fingers and toes, I can see and hear, I have no serious medical problems...I am healthy. How often so many of us take that for granted. I took the rest of my drive after that realization to really take in my surroundings. The trees, how gorgeous they are...and the mountains. There is beauty in everything. All the people hurrying to school and work and the cars stopped beside me at the stoplight. All these people today...they just want to be happy. It's up to everyone in their day, as well as themselves, to make that happen. "The purpose of a human life, no matter who is in control of it is to love whoever is around to be loved."

The past few days have been so different for me. Complaining is easy and there is much I could if I let myself, but that just seems so insignificant. Honestly, I wake up every day with air in my lungs, food in my tummy, and friends and family by my side. Life is what you make of it...and life is good.

I wish everyone would just love and respect one another, whether you like them or not. If people would just act civil towards one another and let everyone live their lives a bit more peaceful, things would be so much easier. It's such a simple concept, ya know, but people find it so hard to do. Some days I wish I could make the whole world smile, even my enemies. That would be my one wish should I ever be granted one. Your turn. What would yours be?

Note to self: When you think no one but the company you're dining with is watching you juggle your boobs, you're wrong! So, don't do it. Creepsters will walk up to the table..and ask you to do it again. Oh, the things I set myself up for! Everyone laughed though...so I took one for the team, I guess! Meh, I don't care! I'm so over the red in my bangs. I need to maybe start bleaching the rest of it out tomorrow. Also, the Fire/Me multi is submitted so keep your peepers peeled!

Last night I made the best strawberry cheesecake in the history of ever.
Today: it's all gone. My sister basically all but ate the pie dish.
(I saved the cherry mix because cherry is my favorite. Fingers and toes crossed, it'll last a little longer!)

For 15 minutes, it made me feel like I actually knew what the hell I was doing in the kitchen...even if it was "no bake" and I read the directions on the box. But, shh. That will be our little secret. I am honestly Betty Crocker's worst enemy...and I'm ok with that! One day I'll learn, just not anytime soon.

I was waiting to post about the convention until I gathered pictures, but meh! I'll just add them into this post whenever they become available! So, without further ado:

Returning to Little John's tattoo convention after missing last year convinced me that I need to make it out every year from now on! The convention last weekend was a huge success! I have so many funny memories, scored free merch from Hardnox clothing, and saw a lot of familiar faces, as well as made a lot of friends there! Little getaway crushes don't hurt either. I always have such a blast in North Carolina! Thank Garmin Nuvi for not getting me lost!

Needless to say, the ink bug was bitin' the whole time I was there. I may just hit up the shop this weekend and have tattoo no.9 drawn up and dated. It just depends on how much extra cash I have.

I met SG Duke and Siouxsie, as well as hung out with Scooter Smallin and his lovely lady Perry when they weren't being busy bees. Helping Erk and David out with the booth and sharing laughs is always such a pleasure and we're doing it again at the November Richmond convention! I love these guys!

The day has finally come! I'm dying my bangs really quick and then packing up and heading to the Greensboro tattoo convention for the weekend. I'll be working ECI magazine's booth again, so hit us up! I'll be back Sunday night, so don't miss me too much!

Apparently, I've been bitten by the klutz bug this week. I can't hold onto anything, I've been bumping into things, and the silliest thing of all, I have the most uncomfortable sore inside my mouth from stabbing my gums, brushing my teeth a few nights ago. It's super duper sore, ew. Frankly, I felt about 3 years old, like I forgot how to brush my fucking teeth!

Hmmm, so I bought a GPS system today, mostly for my Greensboro trip this weekend. If it works well, I'll be in love. I can't find my way out of a paper bag, so I'm very dependent on finding people to drive me on trips where I've never been. Hopefully my purchase tonight will fix that!

Lingerie stores near me, I am very unhappy with you! I've searched high and low for matching red bra and panties and nurp! Nowhere can I. Thank goodness for online shopping, though I won't have it in time for what I need it for.

"Walking on Air" is my favorite song this week. The music video is all kinds of awesome, so you should probably check it.

Ooh, I finally finished reading Fight Club and watched the movie. I think, in most cases, the movie doesn't do the book justice, but I have to say I was very pleased. Choke is apparently coming out soon, so I need to get my hands on the book before then.
