Styx
by Kraven
In Greek mythology Styx was a boundary river between the Underworld and the Earth; dividing the world of the living from the world of the dead. It was said to have such miraculous powers, that drinking from its waters could make you immortal.
The Goddess "Styx" was also the name of the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys. She stood guard of this river allowing souls to pass from one side to the other. She was said to be so beautiful, and so seductive that she had the power to persuade one to enter her river.
Many souls would enter the river Styx; some crossed over many times; but for most it was a one way trip to the afterworld. A world of hate, death and unbearable torments. The lucky few who would survive this jorney.... it meant a life of living as an immortal.
This set...for me.... was about the seduction and the temptation. To get you to follow me to the river where you may never return. This set was not about getting fully nude and bearing all.... it was more about using my power to lure you in. Would I tempt you enough to give up your world, as you know it, only to be unsure if you would make the cross and come out alive? Is temptation enough to give up everything in hope to become immortal?
