“for a while in 2001, i lived alone in a studio. i didn't even have my cat - she lived with her father. i was pretty depressed that year, and the studio was kind of like an art prison. meaning, it was a prison, but i made art inside of it. here is some of that art. it was made very late at night.
this is my favorite set, and the last picture is one of the best pictures i have ever taken of myself.”
wow. i haven't submitted comments on shoots for a bit because i felt everyone else had said it all, but this may just be one of the sexiest shoots i've seen on the site. the honesty of it, the textures, the general intentensity of the shoot is so fucking amazing. i very rarely get a visceral resonse to a shoot, but hot damn, le, you've done it.
btw, that's a beautiful tat.
This immediately came to mind, especially the similarity of composition between le19.jpg to the image on the cover of Merritt's book (which is great)... My compliments to LE on her beauty and the composition of the pictures...

Excellent photography... everything, every single element in this series works so well with the subject. It is so intimate I thought I was in the same room all up close and personal. You are so good you should do another set... hell every SG should do at least one self portrait series!
I have been Le fan since day one and have been looking forward to this set for a month. she is my fav and I must say she did not let me down. No bravado and no hideing. I hope she realizes how beautiful she is to me.
