since the edward gorey character comparison, all i can think of is that story "the curious sofa" that's totally a porno story by e.g. nic looks a great deal like the 1920's flapper girl that the story is about. she has all sorts of... adventures...

as for the fake black eye, i understand some people's reservations about it. i also have to confess that i always used to want one when i was young, because i thought it'd make me look tough. now i know that it'd just hurt really bad!
