I can't look away. The black lace above pale flesh, the window panes and the enduring bright gaze. The ease of entendre coif, the careless schoolyard part. The stretched spine and the writhing skin, that pause where wishes for kisses begin. Wrought iron and lattice work and ink that aches where heartbreak would shirk. There is a lapsed vocabulary, a way the tongue fails me, for a beauty that dissolves sense and being. That sweet sting of seeing each unspoken dream alive and too true.
