From this packet

They're basically flavoured jelly sweets and the Maynards ones recently (within the last few years) took to writing "Port" or "Sherry" or "Chateau La Fit 1966" on them (the latter may not be strictly accurate).

This is in the proud tradition of things being labelled clearly because they're crap at being what they're supposed to be. Hence the Port one tastes like a sweet and not like port, the sherry one tastes like a sweet and not like sherry, while the Chateau La Fit 1966 tastes like the far less adventurous Beaujolais 1972 lacking the former's full bodied oaky notes and robust blackberry notes.
