Anyone notice that Nickelodeon never actually attributes the "I don't know!" = sliming to this show anymore? I always thought that was bullshit.

Now if only this and Pete and Pete were on DVD...

Never mind. Pete and Pete comes out next Tuesday. But I'm keeping this Artie picture here, because Artie fucking rules.

in the summer of 2001, i worked at nickelodeon studios on a TV show called 'slime time live'. it wasn't so much a show as it was a 3 hour long block of live gags and games they would play before a studio audience coming back from and going to commercials during the cartoons they aired

one of my job responsibilities was to read the fan mail that kids would send in to the show. we got one letter from some old guy in the midwest (he included a photo of himself) who wrote about how he liked to masturbate while the kids would get slimed during certain games. there was a rule stating that if we ever received a letter of a threatening or sexually suggestive nature, we were to give it to one of our supervisors, so that they could contact the authorities. i pocketed both the letter and the photo, but i've since lost them

thought i'd share

So that's why I never got a letter back...

Nickelodeon didn't actually produce "You Can't Do That On Television", a Canadian network did, so I'd imagine they really can't reference the show anymore.

wasn't alanis morristte on it?

Yep, she was on two or three episodes. The only one I remember her on was the "war" themed episode, where the Russians took over the show.
