Depend on how long its been the ER will probably give you something to make you throw up everything in your stomach. Thats what they do to all those kids that eat quarters and crayons. I guess you will probably get rid of it in a couple days if you dont throw it up, but a tack could really do some dammage to your digestive tract.

If you really did swallow a tack, go to the hospital. It could do some serious damage to your stomach and intestines if it hasn't already, and could create a lot of problems. You do not want something like that trying to fight through your digestive system.

good luck with the sharp thing going through your gastronomic system. i've been there. you'll have nothing to worry about unless you start shitting or pissing blood. then you need to go to emergency. otherwise, it'll pass in a day or two. of course, if you don't see it in the next few days, you may want to go in anyways.
