Why do people insist on showing me giant dead reptiles? Why on earth would someone think that I would find that somehow awesome?
I don't go around showing people pictures of dead puppies and kittens and say "Oh look how cute they WERE. Weren't they just adorable before you know...THEY WERE FUCKING KILLED"
It's not different either, I like reptiles and amphibians and sharks more than anything soft and furry, people KNOW that and still they persist because seeing a giant of some sort is "neat" to them. Oh it's totally cool, show me a 20+ ft croc that was probably 60-70 years old strung up with rope and a bullet hole in its skull, or a 10ft rattlesnake that's probably 30 with a boot print on it's spine. /rant
Fucking horseshit
I agree. We had a ball python, Nagini. Was just like any pet. He'd smell you when you came in the room and wiggle up the glass to say hello. Loved him. Unfortunately he passed last year. Hoping to eventually replace him. It will be hard though, he was a very special snake. People assume because one, they're afraid of reptiles or two just don't like them that everyone else feels the same.

The most glorious moments in your life are not the so-called days of success, but rather those days when out of dejection and despair you feel rise in you a challenge to life, and the promise of future accomplishments.
