That opening scared me a bit, I was screaming 'NOOOOOOO' when I heard that laugh track. Chops busted, fellow adults. Chops busted.
Greendale Babies was pretty awesome, wish it had been longer.
Yeah, I noticed that even the acting was different during the Abed TV segments.
Everything was a little different - the acting, the writing, the 'jokes', the pauses in the dialogue after each 'joke' to wait for the canned laugh track. It was a perfect spoof of itself as a common crappy sitcom (I wonder if they brought in the writing/production crew from 'Whitney' or 'Two Broke Girls' to get it to be that authentic. )
I did enjoy it once I got the joke, and the opening credits sequence was pretty good, but it did get a bit annoying as it went on. Even Abed couldn't handle it for long - I loved the fact that Abed's happy place to escape the crappy sitcom (which was supposedly his happy place to escape his real life anxiety in the first place) was a cartoon version of themselves. I would have loved seeing more of that world explored, like 'Digital Estate Planning' or 'Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas'.
And I just loved Annie's 'prank' nature - moving everything on his desk an inch except for the stapler. 'This works on so many levels'. Plus she was adorable as a baby in diapers.

So long season 4. You started off rocky but ended wonderfully. Here's hoping we get our six seasons and a movie.
If it gets picked up next year, I'd like to see Jeff get hired as the head of Greendale's legal department.
I had to work late the last 2 nights, and missed the first half of the finale (missed Annie in the red dress ). I did like the way it ended, hopefully there will be more, but if that is the final episode, I feel it was a fitting sendoff, especially to end with a 'Troy and Abed' segment (which, I believe, was the only one hey did in this season)
I do agree with your assessment, I felt the beginning of the season wasn't bad, but looking back, there aren't too many highlight episodes. The last few were very enjoyable (the origin story, the 'Freaky Friday' episode).
