There are a lot of hypocrites in the active community. I posted a topic a couple of days ago about a theory spawned from a friend and modified by experience. It would seem that a handful of people are coming into everything I've said since and are posted hate images saying "That's Cool Bro!" and "You think you look like this, but really you look like this". I suppose the intention was to hurt my feelings, but according to this there should be none of that going on. There was no intention of hate involved on my end. The theory was controversial, but by looking at the band wagon of hate that got appended, you would think one hurt individual, presumably from their own insecurities, lost it and caused defensive friends to chime in. I believe the concept challenged and deviated from what is sought by many here, but that's not grounds enough for hate speech. If the collective responses author's hadn't been so emotional, maybe they would have seen that it was designed to give hope to females who don't recognize beauty in themselves so that they could let the thought of being sought in the future settle in their hearts. I see a lot of talk about equality, anti-bigotry, etc. but a lot of closed mindedness to foreign concepts. It would seem okay for some forum veteran who I think is married to a moderator to write hate, because hey.. she's connected to this relatively tight knit community. And this moderator, who undoubtedly needs to support his wife, comes in and quotes hateful responses and says "True." or "I agree." or something like that. So what is it? Don't be hateful or be hateful? I was very much hoping for grounded responses so that we could go back and forth, peacefully, and find reasoning for growth, something of that nature. What I found is ignorance and attention spans so small that you can't reason.
You've got to work on your communication skills. End of story. Trying to digest your long blocks of text is difficult enough without your typos, misspellings and grammar.
Secondly, these are discussion forums and you seem quite comfortable making assumptions about other people and their ideas and unreasonably dismissive to anyone who contradicts your perspective to the extent of outright ignoring overall points.
From what I have seen, you have developed a consistent pattern of posting archetypal male chauvinism and misogyny and citing your experience and that of friend as a basis for your worldview.
So either everyone here has completely misunderstood everything you've tried to share or we're all a bunch of assholes. My guess is that it's about an 95/5% split right now and the more you post shit like this:

... you're going to be met with rampant hostility and assholery. Furthermore, the implied sexism in your comment is more hateful than anything anyone has said to counter your statements. They have attacked your statements and ideas not your person -- no one has called you a "faggot" or a "retard" -- that's hate speech.
WOW ! That was right to the point, thanks Tuffy,
I was trying not to air my issues with that newspaper that this, "unique individual" has published here
Humans ! no shit, I wish dogs could get on line..

It doesn't matter whether you intended it or not. Your theories, and the assumptions that you base them on, are flat out prejudiced. It's no different than if I came in and said that I think black people are genetically predisposed to being criminals. Even if I genuinely believed that, and genuinely didn't intend to offend anyone by saying it, that statement would still be offensive, and it would be perfectly okay for people to get mad at me for saying it and for thinking it.

See, this shit doesn't help. You're assuming that lots of people couldn't possibly be personally offended by what you said--no, no, it's got to be some sort of board politics or clique thing. That kind of arrogance is not going to make your myopic ideas any more likely to be accepted or even discussed civilly.
My 2nd day as a member and already drama. Wow. I hope stuff like this doesn't happen often. The vast majority of people on this site seem pretty awesome.

This community has existed for over a decade now. Of course there's some drama.
