what would you do? Aside from the obvious, kill Hitler, prevent 9/11, etc. Rules are you can go and come back. There's no limit to the amount of time you can spend in the past, and you can take stuff from the present.
I don't know, but if I changed something in the past I'd be afraid to come back. If I was going to go back in time I'd go back change my own life and stay there to live it through the new way.
I'd go back in time, find the 15 year old me and tell him 3 things.
1. When you get a job, stash 10% of your money and don't fucking touch it. Seriously.
I spent all my money as a teen on Magic cards, pizza and random bullshit and now I am 28 and broke as fuck...
2. Grow some balls and take chances with women! Looking back...there were so many times women were giving me the green light and I was too fucking stupid and scared to take it. There was really no reason why my self esteem was as low as it was. Dammit!
3. GO TO COLLEGE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL!
Your "one year off" will become 8 years too damn quick.
And I'd probably go back to just before Microsoft took off and invest in Microsoft stock...though that negates my having to save money.
Study history... Experience ancient Rome and ancient Greece, Discover the answers to Egypt as I read through the scrolls at the library at Alexandria.. .. shake hands with Ptolemy
I always wondered what would happen if you took Slayer's Reign In Blood album back to the 1950's when they used to think that Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis was music from "the devil".
My first thought was that I'd go back in time to when Johnny Depp was a virgin and take his virginity.
But then in all seriousness, I'd love to go back in time and not smoke pot (and not fall for the guy who got me smoking pot who at the end of the day was only using me for sex, even if it was pretty damn good) and instead focus on the things I loved that I could have turned into a career (photo journalism was the main one). Instead, I just got high and forgot my ambitions. So fixing that would be nice.
I'd give my academic advisor the finger and switch my major from Computer Science to Computer Information Systems. Three quarters of my course load would have been the same, and the last quarter would've been more useful business and IT knowledge, rather than knowing how to solve a differential equation or program an EPROM chip.

I would go back in time to prevent my birth just to cause a paradox.
If you had time machine and tried to go back to prevent your birth you wouldn't alive in the future to go back in time to prevent your birth, typical rookie mistake.

yes but if I couldnt prevent my birth by going back in time then that means I am still alive to create the time machine that I would then use to try to go back in time to stop my birth but if I am still alive it means that i didnt stop my birth which means I am still alive to create the time machine to go ....
nevermind.
I would just go back and sink all of Columbus' boats.

logic fail... when you go back in time you create an alternate reality so anything you do there won't effect the reality you left in any way whatsoever.. duh.. the grand father paradox can't happen.. you simply won't be born in the current reality.. you won't disappear like in Back to the Future or anything.. that would be ridiculous!!
