My mom came out with "mo' beer" when she was a baby
My brother in law didn't talk til he was three, and when he finally did say something it was, "I'm not a baby, I'm a boy" as he stomped out of the room, lol
I was a curious child myself. I was always getting my head caught somewhere [the fire dept. rescued me] or sticking bazooka joe wrappers up my nose. . .or choking on pixie stix.

No is a very popular toddler word, I think the majority of my class says "no" and "mine" more than any other word I have ever heard. ha.
Well then I'm common.
I could read the newspaper by the time I was 3 though, so I guess my vocabulary grew.
In my opinion there is no such thing as a common child. Maybe no is an easy word to say, but babies are territorial. I can't tell you how many fights they get into if another child shows you affection or vice versa.
I was told I was trying to say lobster, but they got upset at me because they thought I was saying a dirty word in spanish. And they wonder why I'm shy.

Which word did they assume you were saying?
I honestly have no idea. I think guessing is more fun!

Hahaa. I gotcha.
My sister used to make up her own spanish words when we were kids. It was hilarious because she was about 3 and would rattle off in this made up language and one time we were in Caldor and this lady assumed she was in fact speaking spanish.
Does anyone else remember the Nike slogan before it was "Just Do It"? I've been looking online for a poster, but I can't find one. Anyway, for a time there in the 90s, it was "Kick Butt." I taught my brother that for his first phrase
