i thought this was one of the better movies of last year. the church of stop shopping is one of my favorite campaign chariots. where most activism organizations send rappers to the street with a clipboard and a rehearsal to try get you to give you money on the spot for this and that, these guys go for the jugular in the dramatic guise of evangelistic theater.

beware, the shopocalypse is here!

I second the motions of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Christmas Vacation.

Also: L.A. Confidential. Hey the beginning takes place on Christmas Eve, so I consider it a holiday movie! wink

It is a family tradition to watch Die Hard on Christmas Eve for my family. So it is not a guy thing.

Love those oldies. and enjoy the many versions of Dickens' Christmas Carol to include...

-Love the old cartoon "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"
-The classic stop motion animation "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"
"-Serendipity" it's not really about Christmas but it starts and ends with Christmas shopping and includes Louis Armstrong's "Cool Yule" which qualifies it as pretty holiday festive in my book.
