The holidays are clearly upon us. Do you have any traditions?

I don't celebrate, so unless that's a tradition...I don't have any.

Is drinking a tradition? Because I can't not drink my way through the holidays.

I hope it's a tradition, it's how I keep Christmas alive all through the year.

My mothers side does everything on Christmas Eve....
The turkey, and the presents.
A present from Santa is there on Christmas morning, then we have soup that day....

Boxing day is chocolate sandwiches and a shit load of Akvavit!!!!!!!
Then everyone is wasted. It's the best day really...

My family has a tradition of making everything vacant, cold, and uncomfortable.

Or maybe that's just me.

The only one of any interest is going over to my parents' friends place to play trivial pursuit with their family. Drunken trivia is the shit, it's like booze loosens up all the useless information in my brains.

My favorite tradition is when I try and get my family together and all watch "the Muppet Family Christmas" Then they all end up wanting to do something else cause I make them watch it every year and I end up alone in my room watching it while eating Christamas candy

I'll try and think of another one we have thats doesn't make me look like a sad immature muppet loving candy addict ........ might be hard though

well this year will be my second christmas away from my family. so last year my boyfriend and i had a non-traditional [ to us ] christmas -- i made a pasta dinner, we watched the christmas story, and then went to the movies. and that's what we'll be doing this year.

my family has many traditions. we always go to the candlelight service at church on christmas eve. then christmas morning we open a few presents at the house, then go to my dad's parents for breakfast. then we go to my mom's sister's house for lunch and presents, then my cousin's or my grandmother's [ they alternate who does each holiday ] for dinner and presents.

my boyfriend's family does breakfast at his youngest sister's house, and some presents, then dinner and at his mom's.

it's weird not being with family, and doing those set things. but it's kind of nice to not have to follow a schedule and listen to people bitch and stuff all day, haha.
