True story: I own the soundtrack on CD.
There is a line that is sometimes crossed when it comes to admissions. Hard to define, but you know it when it happens.
Well, I didn't actually buy it. I sort of inherited it. It's a long story. Anyways... I think I'm going to listen to it right now. It's got Otis Redding, Bob Seger, and two, count 'em, two Patrick Swayze songs. I'll keep you updated.
Edit: It also has a Bob Dylan cover by Jeff Healey.
I'd like to send a shout-out to CKdexterhaven. He made me realize that Patrick Swayze is indeed my favorite actor. Before, there were debates, but only now has his magnitude of influence been realized. He just embridled my childhood with such good memories. From Ghost, to Next of Kin - to Roadhouse and Point Break, and onward to Three Wishes ...et al. Right up there with Gregory Peck as the best actor ever.

You inherited the RoadHouse soundtrack? Damn! That's some legacy.

It was "inherited" in that I ended up with it somehow, from some member of my family. It wasn't in anyone's will or anything.

It's not on right now, but I'm watching it in a spiritual sense.
As long as I know somewhere out there a mulleted, existentialist bouncer is tossing rednecks out of roadside honky tonk bars in the most homoerotic way possible, I'm watching Road House too.
