I wandered into Barnes and Noble the other day between appointments. I hadn't actually browsed in a bookstore since I don't know when. I looked at some of the current political books, biographies, fiction. I came to a section of computer type stuff. To my amazement I saw 7 units of shelves that were labelled "Manga"!!!!!!! OK, sure, there were four units devoted to "Graphic Novels". I knew already that this was a happening thing. And believe it or not, I know what the word Manga means. But 7 units of shelves??? 6 shelves per unit, all jammed tight with these Manga things. In Spartanburg, South Carolina! Where have I been? What have I been doing? It's bad enough that I don't recognize half of the band names you all post on here. 42 shelves of Manga! I feel like i'm losing cool points like the Stock Market is losing numbers.

The quickest way to lose cool points is to worry about losing cool points. I'm not cool, you're not cool, and that's actually just fine. There's a cool to being resolutely uncool. wink

Now, let's relax and read some Manga. I hear the FullMetal Alchemist Manga is very different from the anime series. I might start with that... smile

Well, as long as it has lots of pictures, I guess I'm down.

I take a little bit of pleasure at becoming the old guy and not knowing whats going on. Mostly because I really don't give a rats ass.

If it didn't make me feel like shit I'd give up and just get fat as well.

I go to Barnes and Noble for the Starbucks. Because that raises my cool points much more than going to the one in the parking lot of the Barnes and Noble.

I'm a programmer.
As such- I know that loops are useful for a while, but sooner or later, you have to exit them.

Yeah I quit the loop a longtime back. That's how cool I am. Quit the loop and Myspace all in the same week.
