I don't know about other states...but I'm pretty sure that's illegal in NJ. Alert your local department of weights & measures.

I'm not sure but the sign was advertising gas for the stated price and in really small letters it probably gave the octane or said "mid only" .

But when the "you need gas in he next 35 miles or else" light comes on what can you do?

Uhmm, no offense, but I'm broke as shit so I'm still going to bitch about it. When they raised the price from 3.09 to 3.79 in one day in Chicago, yeah, I'm gonna bitch pretty hard when I had a set amount to spend on it.

OK... that much in one day i could understand. Here its just been a slow climb over the past couple of years (it's actually down on the all time high though).

Something similar happened here as well. gas was 3.39 in the morning. took a trip to the city and before I went home I filled up at the same station whose price was listed as 3.79.
