Yeah...I guess I think there's some way in which randomness gets added into a complex system...maybe that's what you're saying too.

Perhaps more on topic, as a kid I tumbled down the stairs and hit my head on the wood floor at the bottom.

Nothing really - - - oh yeah, except that time when my mother stood aghast for too long, after her water broke. That really helped me a lot. I cut my head numerous times throughout elementary, but I'm no worse for the wear. And I too, give urgency to ponderances of how things could've been, and would be, different.

I got hit by a car doing about 50 (kph, not mph) on my way to school when I was about 13. I went up on the bonnet and smashed the windscreen with my head, then slid 10 feet up the road on my school bag.
I got up and tried to continue on my way to school, my brain still rattling around in my head, when I was assailed by a bunch of helpful people telling me I need to lie down while they call an ambulance.
I was lying on the footpath with some guy barking orders at people and holding my head straight. I didn't have the heart to tell him he kept bumping my head onto the concrete smile
I spent several hours in the hospital with a neck brace on... that was by far the most painful part of the whole experience. They eventually let me go and told me I was fine. Barely a scratch on me, except for a wicked huge bump on the back of my head that lasted a week.

haha smile

i'm just saying looking back, its easy to say "if i had just said no" or "if i had just said yes" or "if i had just left on time" but without any knowledge of the outcome of that decision (hindsight or whatever) we would make the same choice every time

I hit my head over 3 months ago, apparently had a really bad concussion. My brain is now bruised.

I do not have a hard head.

I have an ex girlfriend who went under a tractor trailer, fractured her skull in two places. she ended up having short term memory problems and failed out of college. though i think the main reason for her bad grades was the fact she was (became?) an alcoholic who was trashed 5 or 6 nights a week... though i can't help but wonder if her drinking was her way of dealing with trauma/ anxiety related to the crash... frown

I was in the craft store last month and my eyes lit up when I saw a TUB of elmer's. I think I wanted to eat it.

haha i glued myself to a chair once in first grade

the teacher said something along the lines of 'glue yourself to that chair and quit moving around'
so i took some elmers glue and put it on the chair and sat down... the teacher did not find it funny, nor did the principal

In my 20s, was run over by some guy who was fiddling with his radio and jumped the curb. Spent months in a wheelchair. Not one of my better days. Brain was fine though.

When I was seven I landed on my head after I fell about 30 feet, but a 6' bunny broke my fall with his belly, then there was a lot of bright lights and I waved goodbye to the spacemen.

Finally I've done a debut with a victim. smile
Yay, I got myself hit by a car on 29th October, while I'm staying in japan as a tourist. So things are so complicated, and the insurance company sucks. 6-7 months are needed for me to heal completely. I can't go home in Berlin until then. I don't have my homeaddress here anymore, so even I'm Japanese, I'm not an officially resident in Japan.

The struggle with the insurance company makes me so depressed and crying everyday. There's no my fault at all, but it might be possibility for me to be disable. We are not sure yet, but I see the doctor twice in a week, and take great groovy rehabs everyday. Even on Saturday! Treatments are just like heaven. I'd love to stay in a clinic all day, if it's possible.
