possibly.
Beer, in small or moderate doses is considered to be rajasic, which means it moves energy, cultivates desire, and has the potential to agitate. If one has sufficient focus, and consciousness (sattva), one could theoretically harness the energy in the beer to awaken the kundalini.

Most people do not have the aforementioned focus and consciousness, and their beer drinking falls into the tamasic category. this is characterized by stupidity, lethargy, and ignorance.

There are stories of yogis who use substances to achieve their goals. The Aghori Vimalananda drank whiskey, smoked cigarettes, licked arsenic crystals, and allowed cobras to bite his tongues, and he was on his game.

I will assume that when you use the term "Karma", you are refering to "cause and effect", or "codependent origination". Phenomena happen because other phenomena arose before it that either caused or allowed it to happen. This is what you are talking about when you say "Karma", right? I just want to. Make sure we are on the same page.

We are on the same page..I think....I used the tem Karma because you were suggesting that the future is determined by our actions in the present and that the present is a result of the past. My understanding of Karma.Correct me if I am wrong.

So, how do I know?
It is observable in the natural world.
I practiced silencing my thoughts long enough to have a good look at the world around me. I have corroborated my findings with other yogis who have done the same.If you are curious about understanding the intricacies of cause and effect, then I suggest you for the same.

Don't Yogis say something like..There is only the NOW..So there is no past or future and therefore no Karma???

What is your stance on the stealing of pic-a-nic baskets, and how does it feel to be smarter than the average bear?

There is absolute truth, and there is realstice truth.

In the absolute, there is only now, you are one with God, there is absolute unity amongst all of creation, and the notions of Karma are irrelevant.

However, for the most part, this is not our experience. We experience relative truth, cause and effect, emotions, separation, duality, etc.

Being interested in the now means that you respect your consciousness for where it is in each moment, and work with it from that place.
Stay grounded, not lofty.
