ok, i know this is horribly english-geeky of me, but how do you spell it / is it supposed to be spelled? i always say come, both for the action and the substance, but that's because for some reason i think that cum sounds/looks vulgar - not that it is, but it strikes me like that somehow.

cum reminds me of cheap tacky porn...

You know? so every time I see 'cum' I wanna puke

So I say come, I don't care what it's supposed to be tongue

Besides isn't it 'orgasm' if we're talking proper english? confused

actually, in proper english, it's to have an orgasm.. orgasm is a noun, not a verb (silly as i am, i checked)

i checked on the rest too, and the dictionary says that "to come" is vulgar slang for "to experience an orgasm" and cum is "semen..."

which is interesting (and me answering my own question which is kinda dumb of me), but not what i was looking for, i was wondering how y'all use it...

Yeah the word cum, comes from schum which is where the term scumbag (the original name for condoms) and come refers "coming" to/or arriving at orgasm.

'Cum' is vulgar and reminds me of some porn line such as Cherry mentioned...

..which is why I spell it that way. biggrin

'Come' is a bit more proper, but if I wanted to sound proper, I'd more likely say 'orgasm'.

If I'm talking with someone I generally spell it whichever way they spell it first. Don't ask me why....I just do. Although if I say it first I generally go with "cum". Using "come" just seems different...like it could confuse a person (which sounds lame).

when you are glad to be there in the moment, you are happy to "come", when you are done and it is good and messy then just "cum"

I use "come" for the action and "cum" for the substance. "Cumming" just sounds gross. And "I'm gonna cum!" sounds so vulgar and cheap porn-like.

I was always under the impression that the term came from the phrase "coming to orgasm" (since "orgasm" is a noun and not a verb), and many books from when it was first ok to talk about that sort of thing used it in that sense, and spelled it "come".

If it strikes Mei as vulgar, then it's vulgar. A rule.

(But I think so, too; people who like to talk/write about sex need not represent themselves as morons who can't spell.)

I prefer the term "spooge". Not to describe semen, though. I use it to mean having an orgasm.

"Oh my god! I'm spooging! I'm spooging!"

That shit's just plain classy.

Why was this thread bumped again?

I forgot a lot of letters in that post. I was a bit distracted since I was spooging at the time.

"Spooge," though, sounds like a kitchen cleanser, and with the exclamation point seems to represent some kind of emergency.
