I have been purusing the boards, from the size of your cock thread, to the size of your snatch thread (very interesting, I might add) which lead to the shaved threads and discussion on preferences for body hair. I shaved once in college, BAD experience. Vowed I'd never do it again. Never say never. My mate, the wonderfully bald one, has a thing for shaved girls, so I surprised him the other night and took the Venus razor to the patch, after trimming it as far down as I could with scissors. I was very careful to not be too rough or go over it too many times. But there is still the normal redness and some bummpyness. And need I mention ITCHING!?!?!? Not cool and not sexy. So, my questions to the folks who have been doing this are:
1. how long before I should shave again?
2. how long until the skin toughens up enough for this to not happen?
I personally think it looks silly on me, but he loved it, so I might do it for a while, just because, well hey, if it gets me more nookie... love kiss
So any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx! miao!!

I don;t know much about girls shaving, but I shave my penis, the itching will be there, but it gets less worse as time goes on, Use a shaving cream that has aloa vera, I use that gel stuff, edge pro gel. afterwards after drying that area, use a hand moisturizer or baby oil it softens and moistens the area up, and takes the irritation away. I shave every couple days, 3 to 4 days. and in between that even when not shaving, use baby oil or moisturizer on area to keep it soft and keep irritation away.

i used to be a victim of razor burn. now, i keep everything entirely bare and its always nice skin.

i guess it took my body getting used to it, as well as that i only shave my labia etc, and wax the upper pubic area skin.

i always loofah and use exfoliating washes to avoid all ingrown hairs. it works for me.

i imagine everyone is different.

yeah i am a big fan of being bare.. uh.. down there. (worst rhyme ever?) it sucks at first.. i just shave all of it.. but for a littel while it is not fun... but then your skin gets used to it.. and that is when the fun starts.. just exfoliate and keep at it.. shave it everyday.. or every other... and your skin will get used to it. enjoy.

okay,
a trick learned from ex-girlfriend,
to avoid razor burn and those unsightly bumbies, use baby powder.
It's so simple it may just work.

did I just sound like a commercial???

Make sure you moisturise after everytime you shave and then you're razor burn will be less. It's terrible at first, but the more you do it the less it happens.

So always moisturise straight after you've shaved. Also I don't use shaving cream or foam because even the stuff for sensitive skin it too harsh down there frown

I use baby oil. Rub lots and lots of baby oil on the area and then shave. This moisturises the skin while making the hair nice n' soft biggrin

I love using baby oil so much now that I even use it on my legs + armpits biggrin

Happy Shaving confused

Cherry xx

Ooo + also make sure the moisturiser is natural + non perfumed otherwise it'll just do you worse eeek Try E45 cream, that works wonders wink

i'm quite fuzzy, and learning to be proud of it... mostly because i'm too lazy and my skin's too sensitive to try to be shaven/waxed. from what i've heard, though, moisturizing and exfoliating - especially exfoliating - are the most important things. keeping dead skin from building up keeps razor burn from happening.

but tongue tongue tongue
i don't have to worry about it...

cocoa butter on the skin after you shave also helps a lot. and, yes, from personal experience using baby powder does work wonders.

also i've heard that clear deodorant can help razor burn. never tried it myself, though...

the deoderant trick works great...a gal pal of mine taught it to me....and yeah. the moisturizing factor is a good point too. I love being hair free in the nether regions. enhances alot of things....now if i could just get that piercing i've been wanting but am too shy to get....
whatever
another thing that works good is using hair conditioner for shaving instead of using specific shave cream (same gal pal, who moonlites once in awhile as a dancer, taught me this)

I've tried shaving a couple times, and the ingrown hairs were just too much to bear. So I switched to waxing, and that worked great...the first couple times. After about the 4th time or so, the ingrown hairs came back with a vengance. What is wrong with my skin?

I read the deodorant trick in a magazine, and it works wonders. Exfoliating scrubs are good pre-shaving, and then afterwards, deodorant. And always shave in the direction hair grows, not against it.

OK, great tips, thanx everyone. Just wondering tho, babypowder before or after shaving, and if after, before or after lotion, which I was already doing, so yay on me. smile Next, if I don't shave against the hair, it doesn't get smooth and there is no point if you can still hurt someone with it. blackeyed
I showered this morning and things looked a lot less red, so I thought I'd try a touch-up. ZOWIE! It burned and I must have made several nicks that bled! skull eeek ouchie! ouchie! I am not sure I am going to have the patience for this. I am too low maintenance. frown

I tried shaving, I couldn't get over the itching... but I have found the best waxer EVER -- she takes as much off as you want, all the way up the back, and she is amazing!! and she does guys too. I have been going to her for about 2 years, and I do get the occasional ingrown, but we deal with that. If anyone wants to try her out, her name is Debra and her office is called Retro Barbie's, her number is 224.6421, and she is a really cool woman as well as an amazing waxer.

i used to never shave. then, on a whim, i shaved a little and really liked it. i consider myself pretty low maintenance too, but i just shave my pits and pubes at the same time and it takes about 5 minutes.

thanks for starting this thread, though. i gots to go find me some moisturizer now... biggrin
