Are vasectomies something that's usually covered by medical insurance? On the very slim chance that I ever find another woman willing to perform the reproductive act with me, I don't want to ever sire any children of my own.

not sure what the difference is from one insurance plan to the next, but they seem to generally be covered. i know my guy only had to pay a small out of pocket, the actual vasectomy was covered. all said and done i think he said it cost like 40 bucks - best 40 bucks he has spent tongue

I hate my husband's vasectomy. He got it with his first wife, who denied sex to him, claiming that she was afraid she'd get pregnant again. Well guess what? He got the vasectomy and she still wouldn't have sex with him. So he waited 10 years and got a divorce. And now we're madly in love and all we want to do is make babies. What's standing in our way? $8,000, odds stacked against us, and the long-gone mechanations of an ice-hearted asexual ex-wife.

I FUCKING HATE vasectomies. They can go fuck themselves.

You've considered that it's not actually the vasectomy's fault, right?

Vasectomies don't sterilize people. People sterilize people.

B to the I to the N-G-O!

Sorry, I don't mean to be cold about your situation, but it's not fair to condemn an effective and safe form of birth control because your husband made a poor decision. Like a woman getting her tubes tied, it's your body, and not something you do for anyone else but yourself.

The worst part is, the ex-wife just ran off and sterilized herself a couple months ago.

WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE, BITCH?!

The world doesn't need more of you scheming sex-denial people anyway.

By the way, I should mention the Tao of vasectomies. if it weren't for the vasectomy I'd probably already have four kids at the age of 23. And the naked sex rocks.

So yeah.

I LOVE my spouse's vasectomy. I agreed to marry him so long as he understood it was "no babies, no how" and when I was refused a tubal he stepped up that same month, same clinic and asked to get his vas.

Short coupla months later and we were sterile! YAAAAAAY!

It's since been 10 years of only-paranoia-scares, no-real-scares sex with him. Total awesomeness and just thinking about his getting snipped makes me feel mushy towards him. It's so romantic!

Oh, and we *did* notice some changes after the snip with his libido and ejaculate. As with quite a few other couples we've talked to about it, his libido immediately went up and stayed up (starting later the same day) and his ejaculate became much thinner, more runny, after the first coupla weeks or so.

Hehe, the same day as he got the surgery he was holding an icepack to his crotch trying to get me to have sex with him in the livingroom haha.
