If this is a touchy subject for you sorry but I just find it interesting that so many people, gay, bi and strait, seem fascinated by it.
I really dont think taking 5 mins to BS about something constitues thinking about it way hard.
I think the what they're driving at is that any label that can be assigned isn't going to be sufficient for everyone's experience. I've met girls who can only be romantically involved with women but enjoy occaisional sex with men because the sensation is different. I've met 'Gay' guys who spent most of their lives in fairly happy heterosexual relationships before coming out. I've met people who are attracted to everyone and people who aren't attracted to anyone. Whatever you are, you are. Applying one label or one name to something tries to freeze it in time, to define it and hold it in place. People are too fluid for that sort of thing to work. The person you are today is different from the person you were yesterday and the person you will be tommorow, but they're all the same person. The idea being offered is that sexuality can be fluid, can change, and runs through such a wide spectrum that applying hard and fast labels isn't really productive.
Iin day to day life one needs to label pretty much everything just to have points of reference.
Labels need not be hard nor fast to be discussed, actually discussing them gives us more imformation with which to produce new and improved labels.
Saying snowballing is hot is labeling and many Im certain dont agree. But you do it because you are just as certain as the people with whom you disagree.
The girl you told about said snowballing checked out your profile, made assumptions about you, and decided to flirt with you because she liked your label.
Whether you are able to or even decide to produce something from it is entirely up to you.
