This is why one should say "I love you" because you just want the person to know how much you care, not because you're expecting/wanting them to say the same thing back.

People can't always fall in love at the same time. It's not necessarily a bad thing.

although i think i've said "i know" a couple times and after reading this, i like that more.

i've of course said "i love you" back sometimes. but that's just not my usual M.O.
