So, I recently realized that I wasn't in love with the girl I was engaged to marry, and broke things off with her. This revelation came during/after I began cheating. I'm not proud of the cheating, because I really respect the girl I was with (although my actions don't support that, I know). But I've ended up pursuing things with my cheat, because she's really cool - SO

how many of you out there are still with your cheat? Did it work? Did it not work? Why?

I've cheated once, and ended up with "the other guy" for two years (who was also cheating on HIS girlfriend at the time).

The other guy eventually cheated on me.

Lesson learned.

Although, two married women cheated on their husbands with me, does that count against me, or them?

Hm.. Depends, if you had/have a girlfriend at the time, then both. If not, then just them ; O

I've never cheated, but I've been cheated on. I would never do that someone else I just remember the pain that came from it. It's too hard to look at the person that cheated on you in the face and forgot what they have done to you.

I cheated twice, and it always flamed out within a month or so. New girl seems so enticing until you find out that you have nothing in common and the lust, taboo, and danger wears off.

Much better to stay in the stable, rewarding relationship. Regret is a motherfucker.

Better to stay with someone he doesn't love?

Seems like the non-cheating party involved in the new couple would always be wondering: If he/she did it to him/her, what's to stop the same from happening to me?

Your cheatin' heart will make you weep,
You'll cry and cry, and try to sleep.
But sleep won't come, the whole night through.
Your cheatin' heart, will tell on you.

When tears come down like falling rain,
You'll toss around, and call my name.
You'll walk the floor, the way I do.
Your cheatin' heart, will tell on you.

People need to listen to country music more .. it has the answers. shocked

I don't know if I could cheat even given the opportunity. There's really no excuse. If I'm having problems in a relationship, I do at least attempt to address the problem as soon as possible.
Then again, in that fucked up corner of my mind, I -almost- want to experience the feeling and mentality of a situation like that, but I've always had too much respect for the significant other at the time. I know it sounds bad, but I hope some can understand tongue frown

I think I'm in love with you for posting this.

I've never cheated, but I've been the other woman, and I've been cheated on. Goddamn, all those situations turned out horrid.

Y'know, that's pretty rigid. Sometimes shit happens, people honestly fuck up and learn their lesson, and they should be forgiven. Occasionally cheating or being cheated on can actually make relationships stronger in the long run. Being willing to give mercy doesn't make you a doormat.

staying with the person you are cheating with is no god IMO. its built on a bed of lies. if he/she was any sort of reasonable adult they wouldve backed away from the situation knowing you had someone else and said, "hey, youre cool but...handle your shit then come see me"

theres a time and place for everything, and if youre not in love or into the person youre currently with, it is the worst time to persue something with someone else. chill out, end it with your current partner, then persue that other person. dont be a dick.

well, it wasn't a long term cheat, we told my gf the morning after the first time we had sex, the break up took about a month because my gf wouldn't take a bloody hint. At any rate, I've been married to my cheat for 5 years now, and still going strong.
