ID say yes you can. How ever most people settle for what ever they can get and sell them selves short, second guessing themselves instead of asking them selves the questions that really matter to them.

so in short... eventualy so long as one has the fortitude and open mindedness to find someone who makes them happy without putting much effort into the relationship and instead into what your going todo with that person each day.

does it even exist? I doubt it.

If it does, will I find it? Obviously No.

I can prove it:

Statistics show that someone my age is probably about 15% likely to even get married.

And we all know that most marriages end badly.

Factor in the chances of being happy, even If I were to stay married... It doesn't look too good

That's the way one has to look at it. Love is real, in that it is something one can feel. But one can find that feeling amongst many people in one's life.

This "True" love stuff... I think its an unfair label. It's almost like saying if you don't find that romanticized, Hollywood perception of what love should be, then it is false -- and therefore not worth a damn.

To feel love at all is a blessing. Whether that love lasts or not is of little importance. It'll come back (even if in another form, at another time).

If a person can just sit back and enjoy the ride, his/her quality of life will be so much better. Pursuing an idealized form of Love will usually lead to needless trouble.

I guess what I'm saying is: Stop looking for "True Love", and just pay attention to the love you feel with every passing day.

I'm not really sure i believe in true love anymore. And if it does exist, why all the bullshit that comes with it? It seems like when you think your in love it just gives the other person more opportunity to try and control you with it. Maybe I just attract the wrong kind of people. either way it's frustrating.
