It's all about attaching something negative to something positive. So everytime I see that persons picture I get a little grossed out and I'm not sure why. Sub-consciously I am attaching the negative smell to the beautiful picture. I think I will do my doctoral thesis on this phenomena.

maybe you could apply this to quitting bad habits, for example: every time you light up a ciggarette you let one go, soon you won't want to smoke because it will become associated with a bad smell, unless it all goes terribly wrong and you become addicted to your own gasses, if that isn't already the case.
