I've seen it all over the internet., in magazines, on TV, ect. It seems like its a growing trend. I'm talking about models who are 18+ but are picked for modeling, nude scenes, sex scenes, ect because they look like they are 14 to 17. Is it a growing trend, or is it just me? Does this bother anyone or is it ok so long as the model is actually 18?

Yeah, Ive noticed some porn that looks like that it is kinda disconcerting. Its part of why I dont like the porn thats about making the girl look young and innocent, with pink pigtails etc.

Though for some reason I do find braces kinda hot

That set cracks me up. Bathory's such a tough thing in real life that you'd never think she was underage. You can tell she's in her low twenties. That set is extremely deceiving. smile

I was just discussing this phenomenon with another SG member... it bothers me when nekkid models look underage. Looking at someone who is "legal" but who nonetheless looks underage is creepy.

Pubescent girls should not be the objects of sexual fantasy, other than the sexual fantasies of pubescent boys.

Posts like that last one are pretty conflicting for me. I look young, but I feel a heck of a lot older (You talk to me in person, and you are proven of my age beyond years of my appearance). It's frustrating because It's hard for us to look anything but like a teenager. But I guess if we strip our clothes off, pose in certain ways and show how mature we are, it's different, right? Right?!

a fantasy is exactly that, and not something people necessarily have control over. girls over the age of 18 shouldn't be discriminated against and prevented from working in adult entertainment simply because they may look younger. on what criteria would you judge this anyway?

A lot of girls reach (physical) sexual maturity before they're eighteen, so I don't see anything wrong with an eighteen year old who looks sixteen. It's not any sort of lechery or pedophelia, because she doesn't seem like an actual child, just a minor. And many minors (16, 17) are sexually active, and it's totally legal and natural. Did I just reveal myself?

There was this thing on the news atleast a year ago, in New Orleans, where this guy got in trouble for writing about his fantasies with boys. He didn't show the notebooks to people, he just wrote instead of acting out. I'm pretty sure he ended up being punished somehow, because apparently some people think you do have the choice of what you fantasize about.

I think models who look underage is fine. I don't think there should be models trying to look as young as 15yr olds, but some people like it, so it will be sold. I don't think models should have to try and look older, if they look young.

It's one thing when a woman looks younger than she is but is clearly a woman and not a pubescent girl. But when the theme of the matterial is clearly "check out this 'legal' woman who looks like jailbait!!" (a la "barely legal" or what have you), it's another kettle of fish. People may have uncontrollable fantasies about all kinds of things, e.g. wanting to have sex with dead goats, to take it to an absurd extreme. That doesn't mean that a lot of people aren't going to be creeped out by such fantasies.

As for discriminating against people in the industry for looking a certain way... it happens all the time in every themed genre of the industry and in the culture writ large. There is nothing, per se, wrong with very young looking girls being discriminated against in the industry, especially when they are presenting themselves as some sort of pubescent or pre-pubescent fantasy. In the same way that there is nothing wrong with SG discriminating against punk rock male models, or female models that are morbidly obese and not tattooed or pierced or otherwise punk rock/goth, there is nothing wrong with the industry discriminating against pubescent looking girls.

This seems judgmental (and I can't articulate the criteria, it's more a "I know it when I see it" gut check than anything else) but the OP asked for a judgment... i.e. what do you think of of age models who look under age. I am creeped out by matterial that intentionally goes for the under age look.

Dude, please don't imply that I'm suggesting the thought police should beat people who have creepy and/or illegal fantasies with hoses just for having creepy/illegal fantasies. But am I a terrible person for saying that having diaries about pederast fantasies is creepy??

Wasn't trying to imply that but it did seem that I was.

I'm sure your a terrible person for other reasons, but thinking that a person is creepy for having diaries of fantasies with children isn't one of the reasons you are.
